Heritage Series
The Heritage Series photographs were taken in the period 1968-75, by an unknown photographer. The pictures were taken using a large format camera, with the viewfinder and negative cropped to produce the panoramic shape.
They form part of a collection of transparencies mounted behind glass, which were used in conjunction with a specially designed projector to present as a slide show to Women's Rural Groups etc. The collection is in the care of Ffordes Photographic and The Beauly Gallery.
It is unlikely that the photographs had ever been printed until a selection were scanned and digitally reproduced in 2007.
The subjects form a snapshot of life in the Highlands at that time, with transport from a bygone era.
These photographs are of the highest technical quality, and extremely unusual for the time period.
Giclee print reproductions are available in 2 sizes - 1000x280mm, or 460x128mm.
